Parry Sound Rotary cheque presentation to the Drop organization
The Drop opened in the summer of 2021 and has been going strong ever since. To accommodate increasing participant numbers The Drop moved to its larger, current location on November 1, 2022 and has become a celebrated fixture of downtown Parry Sound.
The Drop is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-6pm and the last Friday of every month for "The Drop After Dark." The Drop serves 10-40 youth a night, providing healthy snacks and meals, educational workshops, activities and programs.The Drop operates almost exclusively with volunteers, supported by a part-time program coordinator and volunteer Board of Directors. The Drop is a registered not-for-profit with pending approval for its charitable status. The Drop relies on the generous donations it receives from individuals, businesses, and other community organizations (like the Rotary Club of Parry Sound!).
